Training
Mule offers his Colt Starting service to the public on a month to month basis. (click here for flyer) For colts that have not been ridden, there is a 60 day training minimum. Mule has found this to be best for the horse and the owner. He does not believe the “thirty day wonder” is fair to the horse. Colts are started in the hackamore and as soon as the colt is ready, graduated to the snaffle bit. He pays a great deal of attention to the colt’s acceptance of the hackamore before advancing him, to be assured there will be as much understanding as possible when the reins are picked up for the first time in the snaffle.

Mule also offers “Difficult Horse Solutions”. He operates on the premise that there are few displays of unacceptable behavior by a horse that didn’t originate with the human. Difficult horses are simply offered a “better deal” on a consistent basis and eventually they take the offer more freely.

Mule has had success with:

	Trailer loading problems
	Bucking horses
	Dangerously disrespectful horses
	Saddle phobic horses
	“Panicoholics”

He strongly encourages the owners of these horses to come and learn the techniques necessary to help these horses maintain their newfound level of acceptance.

Lessons
Mule offers a wide variety of private lessons ranging from ground manners, to working with beginner riders, to advancing the skills of a long time rider.

Lessons are available at the student’s facility or at the Double Diamond T Ranch where there is a choice of a 50 foot round pen, a 60’x80’ covered arena (we can work in the rain), or a 180’ round outdoor arena.

Private lessons are available for individuals as well as groups. Lesson horses are available for serious students without their own suitable mount.
